Last month, we supported the Driving Instructors Association (DIA) at their Professional Development Day by providing the cars for their new workshop. Here’s the feedback and the photos from the day. Plus find out how you can make sure your name is on the list for next year!

Around 100 ADIs attended the development day at the Motor Heritage Centre in Warwickshire. The DIA organised the event to help driving instructors understand the client centre learning approach with the incoming standards check.

There were speakers from DSA, breakout workshops, trade exhibition stands and an in-car coaching session. We provided 8 new cars including Fiesta, DS3, Corsa and 208 for the workshop which allowing driving instructors the opportunity to experience a lesson as a learner, a chance to assess their fellow ADIs and learn new teaching methods.

Head of Sales, Candice Walters, attended the event. She said: “There was a wonderful buzz around the venue. The day was packed full of things for driving instructors to take part in. We were pleased to support the event by providing the cars for the in-car workshop.

“We had many driving instructors talk to us on the day about their next contract hire dual-controlled car which was great. We hope we can get involved with the next event with DIA.”
A spokesperson from DIA said: “The feedback we received from delegates from the day was overwhelmingly positive and many highlighted the ‘In-car coaching’ workshop as their favourite, so we’re incredibly fortunate to have such a great partnership with Hitachi, who equally share our passion for ADI training and development.

“The range and quality of the Hitachi cars provided perfectly suited the high standards of the venue and event and were ideal for our expert coaches to carry out their training in. We are also delighted that it added to the overall experience and ensured that our delegates left feeling well treated and valued. DIA event

Hitachi additionally provided a fantastic service, which supported our event organising enormously, as they arranged the transport to and from the venue and they provided desirable promotions at their exhibition stand for our members on the day. We are delighted with the partnership and look forward to working with Hitachi on more events in the future.”
