The transfer from AA to RAC is part of a group-wide contract with RAC and the rest of Hitachi Capital.
What does this change mean for me?
If your vehicle was registered less than a year ago then your roadside recovery is managed by the manufacturer. You will find their contact details in your book pack that was supplied at the beginning of your contract.
If your vehicle is more than a year old and you need breakdown assistance, please contact RAC on 0333 202 1914.
Please be aware that breakdown recovery in your contract is only to be used in the event of a mechanical breakdown. Any other non-mechanical related breakdowns such as punctures, accidents, bulbs or driver related errors, will not be authorised and will be your responsibility.
We operate a 48 hour breakdown policy. This means if your vehicle is off the road due to a mechanical defect we will supply you with a replacement dual-controlled car. The 48 hour starts from when you notify us the vehicle is off the road and is at the dealership. Our breakdown team will be happy to assist you.
