Let’s take a look at Fresh Ideas – a new website that is aspiring to become a hub of inspiration for driving instructors.
Fresh Ideas was launched just a month ago with the strapline – practical information, skills and ideas for driver and rider trainers.
ADI, author and all-round business man, Marc Ford, is running the show behind the scenes. He initially kicked started Fresh with a partner and ran Fresh Start Conference in 2013.
Since then, Fresh has developed into more events, training and podcasts and Fresh Ideas brings all of this together.
A podcast is an audio file and in this case, Fresh podcasts are fab, informative recordings of interviews with a variety of people from driving school owners, business coaches to gold medallists!
My personal favourite is David Allen – getting things done
You’ll find some really interesting stuff on Fresh Ideas including their selection of articles. Read their tips on dealing with difficult parents and pupils or find out the 7 mistakes driving school business owners need to avoid.
Running your own business often means you are expected to know a little bit of every department that big companies would normally have lots of different people doing. Fresh Ideas is building up a library of how to guides to give you some top tips to do some of the business related tasks that you ordinarily might not understand.
The first set of how to guides on the website include: how to create a Facebook fan page in 4 minutes / Getting Testimonials.
Fresh Ideas includes an events page that gives you access to the latest workshops, webinars and conferences. You can book your place on the next event direct from the site.
Workshops coming up in October:
- Fresh Plans Quarter 3 – Monday, 20 October
- Stress management for pupils and ADIs, Tuesday, 21 October
Have you heard about ADI Part 4: Business Planning? If not, you’re missing out! Marc has penned his first book to give the business basics to driving instructors to help them create a framework for success.
If you’re attending the ADINJC Conference next month then stop by our stand for a special edition copy, which includes an exclusive extra chapter.
What does the future hold for Fresh Ideas?
It’s still early days for Fresh Ideas but Marc is already working on the future vision of the site which will include a member only area with exclusive content.
Watch out for more developments and catch-up on the latest Fresh Ideas
