Hitachi Capital Driving Instructor Solutions is raising money for Leicester Hospitals Charity with a number of fundraising events this Valentine’s Day.
The team, based at their offices on Welford Road, Wigston, will be hosting a baking sale and a quiz for all the staff with the winner winning an Indian curry cooked by Neesha, one of Hitachi Capital’s staff.
The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust receives Government funding for healthcare but relies on generous donations from the public via Leicester hospitals Charity to help their efforts go further. Donations are used towards providing the best possible facilities and environment for their patients, visitors and staff.
Proceeds raised by Hitachi Capital will be donated to the Glenfield Heart Centre who provides a comprehensive range of specialist services for Leicester community. These include treatment for conditions including heart disease, heart attacks, heart valve problems, irregular heart rhythms, congenital disorders and cardiac investigations.
Chris Tarry, general manager of Hitachi Capital Driving Instructor Solutions comments: “Friday 14th is often about doing something for a heart close to you but we’re thrilled to be doing something that will support many hearts in the community! We’re now looking forward to raising money for a worthy local cause.”
Maxine Walmsley, fundraising events assistant at the charity said: “I would like to say a big thank you to Hitachi Capital for selecting our Heart Department as their chosen charity, every penny raised makes a huge difference to our hospitals and helps us to enhance facilities for our patients.”
