More than 200 driving instructors gathered in Dudley for the annual ADINJC conference yesterday. There was a real buzz around Copthorne Hotel for the 40th anniversary event.

View from the cab
Toni Watkins-Burton is a son of a haulier and started his love affair with trucks from an early age. His career to date has been full with stints working as a commercial advanced driving instructor, working in the army and strategizing with the United Nations and the European Communities Humanitarian office just to name a few.
He spoke to the delegates on Sunday about being able to interpret the “body language” of large vehicles to help learners from getting in harm’s way.
How to eat a live frog!
If you attended August’s Fresh Insights conference then you might have an idea about Kathy Higgin’s secret session.
As an award winning business woman and an ADI, Kathy has been running her own multi-car driving school, Insight 2 Drive, for years.
Her unusually titled session gave the delegates some tips to fit 8 days into 7 with some simple productivity advice.
Risk management on a driving lesson
Tom Kwok is a driving instructor from London. He promotes road safety and led his session on the importance of the role of ADIs and their learners. His session was insightful and he gave some useful tips on risk management.
We spoke to lots of people during the event and invited people to visit our stand and enter a prize draw to win a set of vinly QR code signs for their car.
